Coop Original Pillow Review

The Original is one of the most popular memory foam pillows today. This pillow is GreenGold and CertiPur-US certified and comes in two size options: Queen (20” by 30”) and King (20” by 36”).

Construction

Cover- the Original Coop Home Goods pillow’s cover is made of viscose rayon fabric. This fabric uses a blend of 60% polyester and 40% bamboo and has been designed to regulate temperature so you stay cool while sleeping.

With the Original Coop pillow, you can sleep directly on the outer cover without adding a pillowcase. The best part is that this cover is removable for machine washing.

Filling- the Coop Home Goods Original pillow is filled with cross-cut shreds of memory foam and microfiber. A zippered polyester liner inside the outer cover holds these fillings. When you buy the Original pillow online, the package includes extra filling filled in another pouch. This filling can be used to adjust the loft of the pillow.

Firmness and Support

The Original Coop pillow is medium-firm, so it’s soft but supportive. The shredded memory foam filling acts as one piece but has more give and contour than a solid block of foam. Depending on your sleeping position and weight, you can remove or add more filling from the pouch to achieve the desired comfort and support.

Like classic memory foam, the Coop Home Goods Original pillow has the contour and hugging feel of traditional Visco-elastic foam. It sleeps slightly hot compared to standard foam pillows, although it doesn’t get you sweaty. But that’s just something to keep in mind before ordering.

The Eden Pillow Review

The Coop Home Goods Eden pillow is slightly pricier than the Original pillow, perhaps due to the materials used. Like the Original, the Eden Pillow offers two size options- Queen and King- and is GreenGuard Gold and CertiPur US certified.

Construction

Cover- the Eden pillow has a soft and breathable outer shell made of Lulltra fabric- a blend of polyester and bamboo-derived viscose rayon. This cover is soft and breathable and is removable for washing.

Core- beneath the cover, you’ll get to a 100% polyester inner lining full of a hypoallergenic, non-toxic blend of shredded gel-infused memory foam and microfiber.

Firmness and Support

With its medium-soft, gel-infused memory foam shredded filling, the Eden pillow gravitates more on the softer side, but it’s still supportive. Like the Original pillow, the Eden pillow’s height is customizable. Depending on your sleep needs, you can add or remove some of the fillings to achieve the right firmness for your sleeping style and body shape.

Right out of the box, the Coop Home Goods Eden Pillow is a good match for side sleepers. Back and stomach sleepers may want to remove some of the fillings for a lower loft.

The Eden pillow sleeps cooler than the Original pillow, thanks to gel infusion. The shredded memory foam also boosts its breathability by promoting airflow within the pillow. That said, the Eden pillow might be a better pick for individuals who get hot at night.
