Our ReviewBy MattressVerdict Team
A mattress is a significant investment- one which you’ll be spending a third of your day on. That being said, it pays to understand what goes in it. The reason is straightforward: all the qualities of a mattress, from back support to pressure relief and durability, are tied to the technologies and the choice of materials used for its construction. That being said, let’s start this Siena memory foam mattress review with a layer-by-layer tour of its construction design.
Height and size - the Siena has a height profile of 10 inches. In our experience with various mattresses and mattress materials, we’d expect individuals weighing up to 275 lbs to sleep comfortably on this mattress throughout its expected lifespan. In terms of size, you can buy the Siena memory foam mattress online in any of the standard mattress sizes from Twin to Cal King.
Cover - the three layers of this mattress are encased in a poly-blend top cover. The poly-blend is an artificial fabric that blends polyester and natural fibers. While they are not as popular in high fashion applications, poly blend fibers have a softer hand than natural fibers, including cotton. That being said, this mattress’s cover drapes closely to your body to give you a more luxurious feel. The cover is not removable, though, so we highly recommend having some bedsheets on to protect it from stains.
Comfort section - Siena’s comfort system consists of a 2.5” layer of comfortable gel-infused memory foam. For starters, this is like a traditional memory foam, but with gel added to it. Conventional memory foam and gel-infused memory foam are pretty much similar materials and have numerous benefits going for it. Their body-hugging comfort and ability to comfortably accommodate various sleeping positions are among their best-selling properties. However, gel memory foam has a comparably cooler sleeping surface than traditional memory foam. If you sleep hot, this cool-to-the-touch property can provide the comfort you need.
Transition section - after the comfort layer, you get to a 2.0” transition layer made of high-density foam. This layer contributes to your sleep in two ways. First, it enables the comfort layer to form enough cradle to relieve pressure by adding support. Second, this transition layer is somewhat firmer than the comfort system above, so it creates a buffer between you and the support core. This is necessary to prevent your body from sinking to the extent that you come into contact with the base layer, which is even firmer.Base support - the base layer of the Siena memory foam mattress is a 5.5” block of high-density poly foam. This layer’s key purpose is to provide support to the entire mattress. The base layer also contributes to other performance aspects of your mattress, including edge support, temperature neutrality and durability.

The Siena Mattress
Side sleeping - side sleepers across all weight ranges should find the Siena mattress really comfortable. The comfort layer of gel-infused memory foam performs incredibly well in contouring to their body shape to provide pressure relief to high-impact areas, such as the shoulders and hip joints.
Back sleeping - these folks will likely find the Siena memory foam mattress comfortable, with a great deal of full-body support. Most back sleepers weighing 250 lbs are the ones who will probably enjoy it the most, thanks to its excellent balance of support and conformity. This mattress does a great job filling in the gaps in the lumbar regions for proper spine alignment.Stomach sleeping - the Siena memory foam mattress is a suitable match for most stomach sleepers weighing up to 230 lbs, too. If you’re heavier than this and prefer sleeping on a softer mattress, we suggest that you take full advantage of Siena’s 180-night trial and find out whether it’s a good fit.
Firmness ReviewThe mixed-foam construction of the Siena makes it a medium-firm mattress in the regions of 6.5 out of 10 on the firmness scale. In the world of all-foam mattresses, medium-firm beds are the most popular because they provide abundant support without compromising the support most people want. When sleeping on the Siena, the sleeper gets significant contouring while getting excellent support from the mid-range firmness. But keep in mind that mattress firmness whittles down to weight, body shape and personal preferences. Generally, heavier individuals prefer a firmer mattress while lightweight folks often go with softer mattresses.
Value for the MoneyCompared to other three-layer, all-foam memory foam mattresses, the Siena offers incredible value, thanks to its high-quality versus price point. This is one of the most affordable memory foam mattresses today. Yet, while it’s not as popular yet, the level of comfort and support that this mattress pack is super impressive.
OverallIf you’ve followed this Siena memory foam mattress to this point, we bet you can tell what we think about this bed. In our opinion, this is a great bed, especially for first-time memory foam buyers who aren’t sure what to expect and people on a tight budget. Despite its low price tag, the Siena is a great mattress for different sleepers because it balances nicely conforming memory foam with supportive poly foam layers.
