2.   INFORMATION COLLECTED

 

2.1   We collect information provided by you directly to us on the Site, such as when you create an account, order a product or request service or otherwise directly contact us.  If you do not provide required information for a particular activity, you may not be able to complete what you are attempting to accomplish on the Site.

6.1    We take commercially reasonable physical, electronic and administrative steps to maintain the security of Personal Information collected, including limiting the number of people who have physical access to database servers, as well as employing electronic security systems and password protections that guard against unauthorized access. Any payment transactions will be encrypted.  In addition, it is our policy never to send your credit card number via e-mail.

 

6.2    The following shall apply in all instances except as otherwise expressly limited by operation of law: No commercial transmission of data through electronic facilities can be guaranteed as completely secure.  Although we will use commercially reasonable means to protect the security of that information you transmit through the Site, any transmission of your Personal Information is at your own risk.  We cannot guarantee that your Personal Information or other data will not be intercepted by third parties; we may not even know it has happened.  We will not be liable for the circumvention or sabotage by third parties of our privacy settings or security measures.  We will not be liable for any breach of the security of your Personal Information resulting from any other causes or events that are beyond our reasonable control, including, without limitation, your own acts or omissions, any corruption of storage media, any defects in third-party data security products or services either of us may use, power failures, natural phenomena, riots, acts of vandalism, hacking, sabotage, pandemic, or terrorism.

8. OPTING OUT

 

8.1    You may opt out of receiving email communications from us by clicking the “unsubscribe” button at the bottom of emails we have sent you or by emailing us at [email protected] and including the word unsubscribe in the subject heading.  You may opt out of receiving newsletters and magazines, invitations, and catalogues by emailing us at [email protected]Please allow up to ten (10) business days for changes to your preferences to take effect.  During that time, you may continue to receive communications from us that were already in process.  Opting out of receiving any such communications will not affect your receipt of service-related communications, such as payment confirmations, and repair and delivery status updates.

8.5     We do not make any representations or warranties about any third-party opt-out services.  Those services are independent from us, and we have no control over, or responsibility for, their performance.  Even if you use any third-party opt-out tools, we may still collect some data about your online activity for operational purposes (such as fraud prevention), but it will not be used by us for the purpose of targeting marketing materials to you.  If you use multiple browsers or devices, you may need to execute this opt out on each browser or device.  Third-party opt-outs may function differently than our opt-out functions, and we have no control over the practices of any third parties.

 

8.6   Those users who have provided telephone numbers to us may remove them from within their personal profile settings.  If you prefer not to receive text promotional communications on your mobile device, you can opt out by replying stop to any text you receive from us.

 

8.7     Registered users may terminate their registrations at any time, for any reason, by contacting us. You understand it may be impossible to delete Personal Information entirely because of backups and records of deletions.  If you wish to cancel your account on the Site or delete your Personal Information previously provided to us, you may send your request to us at [email protected] and include the words delete my information in the subject line, with your specific request in the body of your communication.  Please also update your Personal Information if it changes.  Please note that it may be impossible to delete Personal Information entirely because of backups and records of deletions.  

 

8.8    If you request that we delete your Personal Information from our system, you cannot delete information associated with past transactions or archived information on the Site otherwise than in accordance with our data retention policy.

 

8.9    If you do not receive a response from us to any emails you send to us within ten (10) business days, please send us another email because your original email may not have been properly received.

 

9. CHILDREN

 

We do not knowingly collect, use or disclose Personal Information from anyone under eighteen (18) years of age.  If we become aware that we have unknowingly collected Personal Information from anyone under eighteen, we will make reasonable efforts to delete it from our records and cease sending any requested promotional communications.

 

10. DISCLOSURE FOR LEGAL PURPOSES
